The new Callaway Apex Pro 19 Iron is Callaways first ever forged Tour iron with advanced distance technologies. The Apex Pro 19 iron is aimed at the better ball striker who prefers the look and feel of a tour-level design without sacrificing distance. The new Apex Pro irons have been developed with input from Callaway Professional Tour Players to help design the perfect iron to suit golfs better players. If you want an iron that looks as close to perfection at set-up, with a thin top line, but don't want to fall behind the distances of other irons then look no further than the Callaway Apex Pro 19 irons.
In order to create the same sort of distances generated from the other irons in the Callaway range, they have engineered their renowned 360 Face Cup technology into the Apex Pro 19 iron. The Face Cup is a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter of the face that allows for more flex and release in the face at impact to generate faster ball speeds. The Face Cup also help generate more consistent distances on mis-hits, giving you more confidence over every iron shot.
Getting the Face Cup technology into the Apex Pro 19 has not meant sacrificing any feel in the iron as they are still created from a forged 1025 mild carbon steel body, combined with urethane microspheres which absorb unwanted vibration without slowing down the face.
The Apex Pro 19 irons ball flight is as precise as it can be with the multi-material construction allowing 50 grams of Tungsten to be infused into each iron, meaning CG is optimised in every iron. This helps to produce a higher launching ball flight in the longer irons, and a penetrating, more controllable ball flight in the shorter irons.
