The new Taylormade TP5 golf balls offers more speed than ever in the most complete tour ball on the golf market. With new technology, including HFM, the Taylormade TP5 golf balls will help you shoot lower scores on the golf course this year, with added distance in your longer clubs, and more spin and control on your approach and chip shots.
The new Taylormade TP5 golf balls have been created with HFM, a new higher modulus material that improves energy transfer at the point of impact between the club face and the golf ball. HFM acts like a stiff spring, building up energy whilst compressed and then exploding quickly, generating higher ball speeds. HFM transfers this additional energy onto the driver face producing more rebound, resulting in more speed.
As well as HFM producing increased ball speeds the TP5 golf ball features a Tri-fast low-compression core to help increase launch angle and reduce drag as the ball flies through the air, helping to produce a strong penetrating ball flight.
Finally to improve control on approach and chip shots the 2019 TP5 golf balls is created with a dual-spin cover with a softer cast urethane. This new cover increased groove interaction for more greenside spin.
Compared to TP5x, TP5 offers lower compression, lower launch, and more wedge spin to help improve your short game—ultimately, TP5 provides a more workable golf ball with softer feel.5-LAYER CONSTRUCTION
The key to achieving enhanced speed without negatively affecting spin performance comes from TaylorMade’s proprietary 5-layer ball construction. Including a Tri-Fast Core that delivers maximum carry and low drag and a Dual-Spin Cover that features an ultra-soft, highly durable cast urethane cover, TP5/TP5x offer complete tee-to-green performance without sacrifice.NEW SPEED-LAYER SYSTEM
The new Speed-Layer System is comprised of four increasingly stiff layers to produce more ball speed. The result is more carry distance off the tee, more control in the wind, and more spin around the greens.NEW HIGH-FLEX MATERIAL (HFM)
The 2019 TP5/TP5x feature a new material called HFM—delivering for higher ball speed through a greater rebound effect. HFM acts like a tightly wound spring that builds energy and rebounds quickly, generating more ball speed.
